Malcolm Bourne
As a painter, I've held several exhibitions for my work and have limited edition prints on a number of my paintings. I love to paint and draw, and rarely leave the house without a sketchbook. When I first moved to Bristol in 2005, I became a resident artist in the Leeky Gallery on Park Street. It was during this time that I realised how inspiring it is to belong to an active creative community. This became one of the sparks that envisioned the inception of Joseph Studios. I have a passion for the wellbeing of individuals and communities and have become an advocate of the great health benefits of engaging in the creative process.

Greenbank design
James originally apprenticed in the heritage craft of green oak timber
framing with the then Wiltshire-based company Carpenter Oak and Woodland. He is passionate about organic materials, traditional tools and techniques and aesthetic form and beauty. Since joining the collective he turned his attention to bespoke furniture commissions but his love for fine woodworking and traditional craftmanship have also led to several stringed instrument builds.

I’m a musician and occasional carpenter. I use JS for a variety of creative projects - album campaigns, rehearsals and making. I’m passionate about making space for creative people to meet each other, collaborate and facilitate artistic growth and artistic joy.. against all the odds!
Dance Collective
Josh and Noemi have a deep passion for dance and endeavour to share the joy and freedom it brings.
Both originally coming from a background of competitive ballroom dancing, they fell in love with salsa and the social dance scene.
Joseph Studios will be the home of where they will continue to learn, teach and choreograph.
